Eric Zellner, pastor

A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Eric received his Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University in 1996. While working in the health and insurance industry in Birmingham, Eric sensed a call to pastoral ministry. His call was confirmed by testing his gifts as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and chairman of the mercy committee at Faith Presbyterian Church. He answered the call to prepare for pastoral ministry by completing his Masters of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2006. There he served as Director of Placement, Associate Director of Admissions and Student Council President. Eric comes to us from Westminster Presbyterian Church in Huntsville Alabama, where he served as Associate Pastor for five and a half years.

Eric and his wife Susan enjoy sharing the love of Christ through building and nurturing relationships. They have four children, Olivia, Emma Frances, Cord and Lucy.

Dorothy Baker

After living in various places through the years, Dorothy is pleased to be settled in Indianola and to be a part of a Christian community. Dorothy and her husband Donnie have 4 grown children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Now living in a semi-retired state, Dorothy and Donnie have part time jobs that they enjoy. This schedule gives Dorothy time to be involved at First Baptist, where she enjoys a ladies Sunday School class, singing in the choir and helping to lead a ladies Bible study/ supper club. In her spare time, Dorothy enjoys reading, bunko, going to the movies, decorating, visiting with friends and especially babysitting her grandchildren.

Dorothy has served the Lord faithfully as church secretary at First Presbyterian for nine years and has done so with joy and enthusiasm.
