Duncan was born in Jackson, but spent most of his youth in Baltimore, Maryland. He received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland and was a manager for a fine-dining restaurant in Washington, DC. He spent 27 years working in the management consulting and IT world with the likes of Price Waterhouse and IBM. Most recently, Duncan was a Product Manager for cybersecurity.
Duncan was a Ruling Elder in his church in Tampa, Florida until God called him to full-time ministry. He studied at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in South Carolina, receiving his Master of Divinity from there. Duncan and his wife Debbie have five grown children (four of whom are married) and three grandsons. Duncan enjoys motorcycles and auto repair because he really enjoys troubleshooting and problem solving. But, even more, Duncan loves the Lord and Christ’s Bride — the church.

Debbie has been married to Duncan for 38 years. Her parents are from Bainbridge, Georgia, but her father worked for the federal government, so Debbie grew up in Maryland and England. She has a degree in fine art from the University of Maryland.
Raising five children, Debbie was mostly an at-home mom. In Florida and South Carolina, she managed volunteers for hospice and Meals on Wheels. She has served on the boards of the PTA and WIC. Debbie was a Program Director for community initiatives in Tampa and the Public Relations and Volunteer Coordinator for Maryland’s Regional Institute for Children & Adolescents in Rockville. While in high school, Debbie began attending a Presbyterian church. In 1978, she and Duncan met at a Campus Life fundraising event in which Joni Eareckson was the keynote speaker. Debbie is delighted to serve the Kingdom of Jesus Christ alongside her husband.
